Crossing the Canadian / US border

Hi Guys!!!! Here I am again in the CRJ700 at 23,000 ft. We were climbing up to 38,000 ft. I had this picture taken from the cockpit as we passed over the Canadian border into the United States of America. I know you can't tell where the border is, but the pilots have maps that show them. We were climbing at a speed of 310 knots. That is 356 miles per hour. It took us 2 hrs and 30 minutes to fly back to Atlanta. I enjoyed Canada, but I'm glad to be back in the deep south. It is warm here right now. Almost 73 degrees Fahrenheit that is the same as 23 degrees Celsius. Here is something of interest..When we were at 38,000 ft, it was -53 degrees outside the airplane. I'm glad I was in the airplane. I know my travel cooler home is cold, but that outside air was really, really cold. Well guys, I have a few days off to rest and relax here in Georgia. I'll be hanging out on the kithchen cabinet until we venture off to another adventure. See you next time.. Hi Erin...

Hanging out with the Canadians at the Hard Rock Cafe.

Hi again..Its me Flat Stanley. I just returned from a trip with my travel companion. We made a quick turn in Jackson, Mississippi. We didn't have time to take a picture, so maybe next time. A quick turn is what the airlines call a trip to a city and then turn the aircraft around to take more passengers to another city. They land, park, take people off the airplane, clean, cater and fuel the airplane, put more passengers on and fly to another city. All of this takes place in about 30 minutes. We flew back to Atlanta and then headed to the frigid Arctic, Montreal, Canada....It was so cold. There was even snow on the ground. The wind was blowing very hard. Even though the weather was not that great, it was a beautiful day to go flying. My travel companion flew the CRJ700 from Atlanta to Montreal. It is really amazing to see the world from the front of the airplane. Instead of looking out the passenger window, I get to see straight ahead. We flew to Canada at 37,000 ft. That is over 6 miles up in the sky. Anyway, while I was in Montreal, Canada I was able to go with my travel companion and his flight crew to the Hard Rock Cafe. We were jammin to 80's music and ate some really good food. I was able to get my picture taken at the Hard Rock. I hope you like them. I really enjoyed Montreal. I had a really difficult time understanding the Canadians. They speak French there. Bonjour they would say, I found out that Bonjour means Hello in French. Did you know that? Also, I learned how to say "Have a nice trip" in French. If you will look at one of the pictures, you will see me next to a sign at the Montreal Airport. That is the sign the passengers see before they get on the airplane to leave Canada. It says " Bon Voyage"... Since Canada is a foreign country, we had to go through US Customs. Customs is where they check to make sure you are a US citizen. I secretly traveled through Customs in my cooler home. I didn't want to get stuck at the border, you see I don't have a US Passport. You have to have one to go in and out of countries around the world. I hope you are enjoying my travel adventures and pictures. I'll keep you posted.......Hi Erin, I'm having a great time. My Travels to Atlanta, Georgia

Hi everyone! I started my travels on March 21st. After a ride from my home in Tabernacle, New Jersey to Philadelphia, I spent my first night with my travel companion at a hotel across the street from the Philadelphia Airport. I didn't get much sleep, because we had an early Duty In. A Duty In is what airline pilots call the time in which they have to report to the airport. It's like the time kids have to be at school. I was very excited. I was able to pass through TSA Security without having to remove my shoes and since my home is my travel companion's travel cooler, I had to go through the x ray machine. It was pretty cool. I could see right through myself as they scanned me. Anyway, before we got on board, my travel companion took me out for a picture. Here I am outside the airplane that we flew on to Atlanta, Georgia. It is called a CRJ700. It has 70 passenger seats and can fly up to 41,000 at a speed of Mach.83...That is almost the speed of sound. Very Fast. The best part, I got to ride in the cockpit. The other picture is of me in the cockpit. I got to push the thrust levers up for takeoff. The thrust levers are those two levers that I'm standing next to. They are what the pilots use to make the airplane go forward and fast. It was really exciting. I hope you like the pictures. Once we got to Atlanta, Georgia. I jumped back into my cozy cooler home and went to stay at my new home in Tyrone, Georgia. I will show some pictures of me in Tyrone in the future. I am looking forward to my next trip.
