World Trade Center / Ground Zero

Hi....Flat Stanley at where the World Trade Center once stood. It is only appropriate that we take a few seconds to remember the ones that were lost here on September 11, 2001. It is very apparent the tragedy that occurred, but like President Bush once said, 'We will rebuild." It is amazing at what is being done. The hole in the ground where the towers once stood is enormous, but the construction has begun. New buildings and a memorial are being constructed at a pace of 24 hours a day. A bit of trivia, Do you know who designed the new buildings for the sight? A Georgia Tech Architecture student did...The picture above is of some steps that remained after the towers fell. It was very emotional for me seeing the sight. The outcome of the event has drastically impacted our country as well as the airline industry. My heart goes out to all of the US citizens.
